Joe Jackson says his heavy parental hand kept Michael Jackson away from gangs.

The interview with Joe was shot by Jacksonsecretvault.com over the summer and will be used as part of a movie Katherine Jackson is producing with Howard Mann.

In the clip, an interviewer asks Joe what he thinks about Michael's past comments about Joe's parenting -- alluding to allegations of physical abuse. Joe says, "I had to be like that because when raising him, in those days, so many gangs out there getting into trouble, going to jail. Most of them are dead now. He didn't have to worry about that."

The interviewer also asked if Joe had any regrets, "No! They tried to make a big issue when I spanked Michael or some of the kids, ya know? Just like they didn't spank their kids when they did wrong. The media twists everything."

In Australia, many are concerned about climate change, and we even have ads that give tips on how to save power- reducing the impact on our environment and on our own power costs.

Does anyone have anything like this in their country?

I thought I'd open this thread for ideas, tips and information on how to save power in our homes, thus reducing our power usage and helping the environment and save on power bills.

It has tips, facts and statistics (mainly statistics related to Australia and more specifically NSW). The tips should help everyone though :)

Katherine Jackson has formally filed court documents objecting to the amount of money Debbie Rowe is seeking from Michael Jackson's estate.

Rowe is seeking close to $200,000 in attorney's fees she says were incurred as a result of the custody case involving Michael Jackson's children after the King Of Pop died last year.

Katherine Jackson's family law attorney, Diane Goodman states in court docs, "petitioner (Katherine Jackson), contends that the amount of fees requested by Debbie Rowe is not reasonable.�

The filing adds, �Wherefore, Petitioner requests that the petition for Approval for Attorney's Fees be denied if determined by the court to be unreasonable. Other relief be granted that the court deems just and proper."

Rowe is represented by Eric George, who also was Oksana Grigorieva's attorney in the early stages of the custody battle with Mel Gibson over their infant daughter, Lucia.

A hearing is set for September 8, 2010, to determine how much money George will get for his work with Rowe.

Janet Jackson has revealed she got rid of the "pent up anger" she felt after Michael Jackson's death by working on a movie.

The US singer and actress is one of the stars of Why Did I Get Married Too? Janet appears in several emotionally charged scenes, but had no trouble summoning tears and says breaking down actually helped.

"I was going through a tough period at that time because my brother had just passed. It was very cathartic to be able to release," says Janet, 44.

The film sequel, written, directed by and also starring Tyler Perry, follows a group of friends as they go on their annual couples' retreat to improve their relationships. Janet has a more substantial role in the drama than in the first instalment and was pleased when she discovered the dark direction her character takes.

"I absolutely loved it. Tyler told me that he was going to make some twists and turns and that I was going to go places that I hadn't gone before. And when I finally read it, I really got excited," she says.

I didn't think we had a thread about this and I thought it would be an interesting one. A couple of my friends have just gone off to college. One of them just told me that there are electives you can take in college about celebrities. Classes are held on anyone from Lady Gaga, Madonna, and MJ....etc. She told me that its happening in other colleges besides hers. Has anyone heard about this? Or even taken a class? Or know what colleges offer them?

I love in You Rock my World, there is a part of the chorus that I just love. Its 'You rocked my world, you know you did. And everything I own I give.' It sounds like hes really saying this to a woman he once loved. I just love the part of the chorus. :cool:

A new book called THE REAL COMEBACK Japan 2006...

It's like a picture book with stories. Some of the stories seem to be new and unheard of as far as I know. Like Michael almost creating his own animation movie company?!?! can these stories be true?

Anyways I was wondering if anybody was aware of this book that was released 8/29.
